Caregiving Tips

You have begun a very important journey. The information in this Guide will assist you in finding your way through the challenges and opportunities of caregiving.

There are about 15 million caregivers in the United States caring for someone over 50.(1) In addition, there are millions of families made-up of grandparents raising their grandchildren and the number continues to grow. Family caregivers provide at least two-thirds of all home care services in the US.

My Messy Pets

We messies love our pets. But pets can make our houses messier and dirtier. There are few things worse than walking into a house that a dog or cat has "marked." Here are some tips for keeping your house smelling fresh when you have pets.

The first, most important thing is good housebreaking. It's much easier to deal with pet odors when pets never learn to use the house as their toilet. (Of course, there will be accidents. We'll deal with that in a minute.) With puppies and dogs, your best friend will be a pet taxi or home kennel.

Sick & Tired of Being Sick & Tired, Part 8—Physical Activity Suggestions

Do not ignore symptoms…don't be presumptuous regarding your health. If you are experiencing symptoms of illness; have been diagnosed with a disease process; if you are pregnant, nursing or desiring to become pregnant, you should

What am I to do?

My mother depended on my father for driving until his death in 2006, shortly after I graduated high school. I stayed in town to support her and my siblings while attending community college and working part-time. Since then I've been driving her, my siblings- who are now in middle and high school- and myself everywhere.

Needless to say, managing 5 schedules, and new man-of-the house responsibilities took it's toll and I have 9 credit hours and 4 academic suspensions to my name at 2 different colleges.

As many of us can recall, as children, we sometimes needed encouragement to complete a task. What we can not give to ourselves, we borrow from those around us. For us as adults, our early situations may have changed but the human condition of needing support has not. At some level, we all

What does the bible say about Tatoos?

The Bible warns us against tattoos in Leviticus 19:28 (Amplified) which says, "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print or tattoo any marks upon you: I am the Lord."

I know some will have a hard time receiving this teaching because tattooing has now become an accepted practice in our society. However, just because society approves of something does not make it right in God's eyes. Our society at large, also approves of abortion and divorce as well. However, the Bible makes it clear that God

He wants more than just an affair

Hello, my name is Joe, and I live in Chatsworth, Ga. At age 17, I asked Jesus to come into my heart, and I believe He did. But I never understood how to get Him into my LIFE until over 20 years later, at the age of 40. All those years I had been telling God what I wanted Him to do.

All that time, He'd been waiting for me to ask Him what He wanted ME to do. Oh, all the wasted years, the broken dreams, hearts, and shattered lives. The family and children whom I loved

You are a Winner

So....Pastor, you have discovered that everyone doesn't love you. Someone actually dislikes you. They don't like your preaching. They are critical of your wife and watch your children like a hawk. They give the impression to others that they are devoted Christians, but
