A Prayer for my Pastor

As I pray for you this and every Day

I ask that God would bless you in a very special way!

For your perpetual smile, your warm heart and handshake,

Your words of genuine concern, and encouragement your presence does make!

For this my friend and Pastor, I say: Thank you.

Because of his love in you, you are a giver not a taker.. a real happiness maker!

You are willing to share his truth no matter how difficult it may seem

Wanting us to stretch and grow and be our best.. as that is for us, God's dream!

In my prayers for you I pray; his strength and presence and comfort too

To guide you in all that you touch, think and do!

I am thankful to see that in your life, God has His way,

That, as you go from task to task, For what you need, in faith, it's him you ask.

For this my friend, I find it easy to pray!

In my prayers for you I pray for your family too

that you wouldn't have to worry or fret or ever feel blue!

I ask the Father to give you guidance clear and wisdom galore, as I know that, he will adore!

I am so glad he lives in you.. looking thru your eyes and walking in your shoes!

It is obvious the Lord's presence is ever near, as I have never seen that look of fear!

For this my friend, I say: I care; that is why I am here to share!

In my prayer for you I pray, that your life be touched in a very special way!

I want you to know that our friendship means so much

As both of our lives are made happy by the Master's touch!

I am glad you are the shepherd and I am one of your flock; that You Pastor and Jesus and Peter and Paul and the word are my rock!

For this my Pastor and friend, I say: Thank you, and I Praise the Lord for all that you do!

Volunteers Needed

We have several things we need help with if the Lord tugs at your heart. We need people to make phone calls, who have long distance for which they pay a flat rate for long distance rather than being charged for each call.

You would make calls from your home. Hopefully you have a computer so you could make notes on the calls you make and forward those notes to us. You would be talking to executives only.

The Good News Plus desires to bring Community closer together by giving hope and encouragement to deserving individuals with a Community Appreciation Award program

In the future The Good News Plus hopes to be offering a monthly Community Appreciation award to an individual who is deserving of appreciation in one of the seven (7) catagories below. The individuals will be chosen from entries submitted about a real life story of a nominated friend or individual who you have heard about. Once the Community Appreciation Award program is active, sponsored categories will allow the winning nominated individual of a category to receive a one time gift of $1000.00 from the group or business that is sponsoring that category

Monthly Community Appreciation
Award categories

Best Mom or Dad of the Month
Best Son or Daughter of the Month
Best Husband or Wife of the Month
Best Senior of the Month
Best Single of the Month
Best Co-worker of the Month
Best Neighbor of the Month

Individuals will only be eligible to win once per year. Candidates will be considered as an entry for that monthly competition only. Your submission should be a 400 - 1200 word bio about why the nominee should be considered as the best person for that category that month.

Submissions will only be considered and entered into the current months submissions. Winners may be announced during the following month's editions of The Good News Plus.

Articles and submissions about the winning entries or individuals may be published in future editions of The Good News Plus.

Please start sending any real life stories about your nominees to The Good News Plus. The nominations will be kept on file so that as soon as the Community Appreciation Award program kicks off, the nominations will become an official entry for the appropriate category of the Community Appreciation Award program. If you know of any corporation that may be interested in sponsoring a category for one year, please submit their information to us by email and we will be happy to check with them.
