Our Pastor’s Wife

She is that very special lady who has graced our Church in many ways. We are so thankful that when God refers to woman, and he speaks about wisdom, he says " She". Often she is strong, soft, caring and helpful. We have no expectations of her except to see Christ when we look at her.

She always has that perpetual smile, no matter what she and our Pastor might be going through. She is his right hand that helps him get through the many things a Pastor has to deal with in the Church.

Sometimes, when our Pastor is blamed for things in the church not going perfectly, it is his staff that may have fallen down, but he is where the buck stops and so he is blamed. That is wrong.

Please remember his job is just like any president, to preside. He does not make every single decision and many things get past him in a given day as his staff does not want to bother him with every small decision. He has struggled and prayed for his staff, but they are not perfect; they are human.

We are mindful that he is only one man and only one man was perfect… Jesus, and he is not Jesus. Love which is the one word that describes God and Christians is something he needs to receive rather than judgement.

We encourage you to love he and his gracious wife and encourage both of them and by all means please, please, please do not tell his wife of your disappointment, but only tell her of your appreciation for all the hard work and long hours he puts in.

A Pastors wife needs to hear uplifting things about her Pastor Husband. Those are the things that will bless her the most. Don't be hesitant to invite her to join you when you are doing fun things or to invite the two of them to your home for a relaxed no talk about the church pleasant evening. They sometimes just need to get out together and be alone to enjoy the company of each other. A nice certificate for dinner for two is always a much appreciated gift. We hope the poem below will bless both the Pastor and his wife.

She's like a fresh and lovely rose

That angels planted, then God chose.

He gave her soft and gentle ways

To help us through our trying days.

She walks with us through pain and loss

And lives the meaning of the cross.

She always thinks of others first

And loves us when we're at our worst.

She has such kind and gentle ways

And builds us up with words of praise.

Her tears and prayers and long hours spent

Have helped so many to repent.

A confidant with whom to share,

A partner when it comes to prayer,

Two blessings in a Christian's life

Are a pastor and his faithful wife.

We are so blessed to have both our Pastor

And his Special Wife.
